decision's made, the final one!?

I forget to check the new word press platform during my serach of a new blog hosting service. Now I am switching to it, because I can get a more beautiful blog that. :D

here's the blog.

I guess I'll have more time (until the moment I fill my blog address on ravelry I sippose) to ponder the pros and cons of each system. But my feeling is I'll stay with WP.

Our postman buzzed this morning and brought us a big box from Japan--that's "Color Me Autumn" dress set from HLJ! I was really looking forward to its release so I opened it immediately!!

To my surprise, the colour scheme chosen for "CMA" is nearly the same as the "Cressida" set that I am selling on ebay. So I could't help but borrowing the "Cressida" set for mins and take this shot (those knitted for other blythes must packed once finished or my girls will grab them... :D). See how they coordinate! ^_^ anyway's it's a good chance to see how my set fit on other girls--only Ingrid was wearing them by now though I meant to take more pix.

I just love the set: the fabric is lovely and sumptuous! But I do have a complaint: the coat is ill fit in my opinion. The neckline and shoulder look odd and I had to try really hard to put it up to the right position, and close the eye and hook in the front. They should have done it better--just a tiny little bit the coat will be fab.

We don't need the small pink bag from the set. I'll sell it some time. My girls are now the faithful followers of hand felted shopper made by me. ^_^

"Cressida," a knitty set for Blythe!

Ebay UK had a special listing fee discount this week, so I decided to put a Blythe set there. I wouldn't have much time knitting for myself this autumn, so I've got a humble list of "future knits." But I want each of them, those on the list, very very badly. That's why I came up with this whole Blythe set: I can knit something similar for dollie first!

* A bag: A stylish shopper that is knitted first and then hand-felted in water. It is made with the same fluffy yarn as used for the hat and the same lavender shade for the set. One side is decorated with a bow for a variation, so your girl can decide which side to show off. It is a practical size - she will love to carry it everywhere! (I also include a blank notebook for its future owner).

* A belt: A tie-in belt in lavender, with buckle detail. (oooppps, this is crocheted. :D)

* A bolero: It has slightly flared 3/4 sleeves. The main colour is a subtle coffee brown made of 100% wool. It has flecks in reds and yellows. The lavender edges bring out the sumptuous shade of the brown. It is open in the front, without a closure.

* A dress: This is a close-fit sleeveless dress in neutral fawn. The front features a simple pattern that gives it a sophisticated appearance. It has the same lavender toning for neckline, the armholes, and the bottom. A pair of hooks and eyes serve as the closure.

* A hat: A soft hat with knitted zigzag edge in a butter-like shade. A chain of lavender and brown is running through it so you can tie it in a bow.

I had a sleepless night one day and this little bolero's the result of that night. My own Cressida bolero will not be done soon, because I really need to keep my knitting time minimal, so that's why I try to do a similar one for my Blythe dolls. Will it pass for a human knit if I didn't tell you?

I love the clean and contrasting line of this bolero--the fronts have curly line while the back the straight st st. I don't plan to add snap closure for this little coat--it is a bolero anyways. My girls are very interested in this type of coat so I'll try to make more, but not in sleepless nights!

I'm back to the blogland because of knitting

Last month, I sold a lot of Rowan's discontinued yarn via ebay. I met a friendly buyer who made the instant payment--just like I'll do as a buyer. Then she told me about ravelry.

That wasn't my first encounter with ravelry. Just that I haven't paid enough attention to what it is all about. I always think the world has more than enough knitting blogs so why should I add one? And, I don't really like the idea of blogging at all (albeit I've got various blogs scattering around, still available to the sinful google search engine)!

But I find myself toying with the idea of my own knitting blog. I "rediscover" knitting last November, during the most hectic period of my life so far. I started my first human project after Christmas. By now, I've finished 15 projects for humans, and countless mini knits for my lovely blythe family and my dollie friends. I know I lost my track all the time and need a way to note down all these: my love to a particular yarn, pattern, garment, book... and so forth.

So I've been pondering about which blog I should keep. I always love blogspirit, but they don't do free blog anymore. Vox's beautiful, but the platform seems distracting. That's why I am trying blogger again. So wish I would master simple Html so I could make the blog as much as I want it to be.
